Anyway, we stayed there for a while, and things were a lot calmer once the bigger children had gone. Hannah seemed to loosen up a lot, and started playing. We stayed for a while, and then said goodbye. At first, she said, “bye bye”, but as she watched us walk away, she started to cry again.
When we came to pick her up a couple of hours later, she was sitting singing and dancing with the other children and looked as if she was having a great time. I was really happy that she seemed to have settled down. She gave me a little strawberry (hmm, I really thought it was a tomato) for mother’s day that she had put some fingerprints on. It was my first present from Hannah, so I was really touched She had eaten all of her snack there, so that was a good sign, although she loves to eat anyway
After we got home, she was quite naughty. I suppose a change in her routine is going to be a bit disruptive at first, but hopefully things will get better and she will start having a good time when it becomes more regular. I think I was more upset than she was! For a while after we got back I was really tearful
Tomorrow she will go for a couple of hours again, and then start eating lunch the day after that, and take it from there.
